Recent events in K4K SA

Where to begin...

Towards the end of Term 2, started a K4K class at the Golden Grove Recreation Centre, which sits next to 3 high schools as well as being across the road from the Golden Grove Village Shopping Centre... [but more on that in a minute...]

We finished off last term with a grading, with Denali W. successfully grading for her Orange belt - congratulations for all your hard work! Also... many thanks to all her family for coming out to watch and support her!

During the school holidays, we were fortunate to be invited to have a table at the Golden Grove Village Shopping Centre as part of their school holiday program promoting a range of healthy activities for children. We were there for Monday-Wednesday in both weeks of the school holidays - it provided a great opportunity to promote K4K in the area. We would like to thank Sarah for her organisation and her big smile and the GG Village Shopping Centre for having us. You can see pictures on our Picasa Web album at:

Finally, Sensei's Maurice and Tim would like to welcome the new families to our school, we look forward to getting to know you all better in the coming weeks and months!

Latest News from K4K SA

Hey everyone

Well , we have had a busy month or so for K4K in SA, with a grading and several visitors.

Congratulations to Michelle H. who successfully graded for her Green Belt! Keep up the hard work as you train towards your Brown belt!

We have had several interstate visitors to SA in recent weeks:

Sensei Peter Tas (and family) travelled to SA in late May (29th-1st June) for K4K and adults seminars. We had lots of fun and ate too much chocolate! (extra training required to work off all that chocolate...)

Sensei Tom Cullen, Jenny and John made the long journey over from Sydney (13th-15th June) for K4K and KKA seminars. Again, lots of chocolate and fun were had by all!

Sensei's Maurice and Tim greatly appreciate the opportunity to train with Sensei's Cullen and Tas, our first (and definitely not the last) visitors to our school. We are looking forward to seeing them and their students in Melbourne at the Championships in September!

You can see pics from the visits on our Picasa website: http://picasaweb.google.com/EmptyHandsMA
