Congratulations Nicole!

 

Patience and persistence, commitment and loyalty have once again proved their value for Forest Lake’s junior black belt Nicole who has just been awarded her Certificate II in Sports (Coaching) from the Australian College of Sports Development. Nicole becomes the first Year 10 Queensland school student and the first Kenpo 4 Kids student in Australia to receive this nationally recognised vocational education and training qualification.

 

Some of the areas of study Nicole has gained competency in included :

 

·         Environmental work Practices.

 

·         Apply basic exercise science to exercise Instruction.

 

·         Follow defined occupational health and safety policies and procedures.

 

·         Provide nutrition advice to clients in accordance with recommended guidelines.

 

·         Operate in accord with accepted coaching practices, styles and legal and ethical responsibilities.

 

·         Develop knowledge of the martial arts Industry.

 

·         Teach or develop the basic skills of martial arts.

 

·         lmplement injury prevention and apply basic sports first aid

 

·         Operate computinq packages.

 

Kenpo 4 Kids is proud to be able to offer this level of education pathway for our students and Nicole’s outstanding efforts over the past eight years have blazed a trail for others to follow.
