Riverton's six participants competed in various events - including sets, self defence, forms, board breaking and swords - for a total of 17 trophies, including five first places. The tournament involved about 60 competitors from across Australia, mostly aged between eight and 12. The children train under instructor Didier L'hopital on Thursday afternoons. He said he was "very proud" of the kids' efforts at the tournament and in training leading up to the event.
